Teacher’s Day 2019

On the 5th of September, students gathered together to commemorate the efforts of the people that have guided them through their junior college journey. The theme for 2019 Teachers’ Day celebration was ‘Beacon’ to signify the fact that our teachers act as our fiery beacons to guide us through imparting their knowledge to us.
This was a special day filled with performances, games and celebrations planned by the Student Council with the help of the Class Chairmans and Vice Chairmans.
The day started off with a walk-in by our lovely teachers and school leaders, followed by spectecular student performances put up by Dance and Street Dance and the XZZ band.
The students and staff were also treated to special performances by Uncle Lye and last but not least, EJ’s very own teachers! The students and staff were treated to a performance put up by the N Band before then going into their separate classes for class-planned celebrations.
To show appreciation to the non-teaching staff who also play a crucial role in the functioning of the school, from keeping our campus clean to running the general office, the non-teaching staff were also treated to a celebration in the school cafe with food and music!
