On the 8th of August 2019, Eunoia Junior College celebrated Singapore’s 54th birthday! The whole junior college got to witness our own magnificent National Day Parade in EJC, put up by 40 students who were formerly from Uniformed Groups. The march in parade, led by Cadet Inspector Choy Wen Shao, was without a doubt, breathtaking and exhilarating. This parade was meticulously planned two months in advance by parade coordinators, Corps Staff Officers Wei Xuan, and Kvan, together with the blood, sweat and tears of the 40 students. It was safe to say that their efforts definitely paid off, as everyone watched in awe as they marched in steadily with precision and style.
We also held our annual IHG finals on National Day celebrations too. Sporting talents from each houses competed against one another in various events such as Floorball, Basketball, ultimate frisbee, Softball, Track and field and Volleyball during the weeks leading up to the day of celebrations. The school gathered together earnestly to watch the final showdown between the two respective houses for each sporting event.
Regardless of the outcome, it was definitely a thrilling experience for all, especially in light of the fact that National sporting star Joseph Schooling graced the award presentation ceremony.
Additionally, our IHG dance and cheer event took place on the same day too. Students from each house came forward to present spectacular performances of their house dances and cheers. It was certainly a sight seeing months of hardwork and effort in preparation for these performance come together perfectly in front of the whole school.
