Hi everyone!!! This is Wan Tong, although I'm more affectionately known as Tong (by my family and close friends), Pres, Madam President, Boss, Mafia Boss... you get the gist HAHA. Anyway, after 4 years of NOT being a prefect and being the President of SCGS Debate, I came into EJ not knowing much except that I really, really wanted to run for council and join this huge family of kindred spirits to do some great, some slightly crazy and some inspirational things to hopefully make the lives of my pals in EJ better and put a smile on their faces :) And what a journey it has been!!! From charting the direction of council, making (some impromptu) speeches in front of my peers, confronting different challenges in the everyday life aspects of my job, it has truly been a rewarding year which has allowed me to grow exponentially as a person, leader, daughter and friend. And that's not to say that my council journey has been all dry and boring!!!! All the late night skypes, GM sessions, friendships, mentorships by the teachers I've gained are truly irreplaceable. At the end of the day, there will always be ups and downs in the journey, but through it all, my advice for future councillors is to always stay true to yourself, appreciate and rely on those around you, and never give up even when the going gets tough. Jiayou everyone!!!
TAN GUAN FONG (TRACY)

Hola! My name is Guan Fong, but most people know me as Tracy. You don’t need to know me for guan long to know that I’m a person that loves life, and I try to bring that enthusiasm to others too<3 I’d like to believe that I’m a guan strong person, who has been through ups and downs of the JC grind as deputy president (working in council sweatshop), humanities student (I hope I will have a future!!) and hockey player (2019 Hockey Champs yeehaw ;-). This introduction may be a little weird, but don’t get me guan wrong, because I’m not crazy, just a little batty from JC~~ I joined Council to make ej a place that you feel that you can guan belong, and that’s what drives me to power though late nights, early mornings and loss of brain cells! ^^ I love council because it’s a place where I’ve met wholesome and inspiring peers and teachers, and it’s a place where I’ve grown the most(I would have laughed at you two years ago if you had told me where I would be now, seriously!!) Lastly, to whoever’s reading this, I hope you have a great day :-3
ZACHARY WONG
VICE-PRESIDENT
Hey everyone!!! I am Zachary and I am one of the Vice Presidents of Student Council. I would like to think I am a pretty chill guy so feel free to approach me in school and talk to me if you feel like! Other than being in Council, I also enjoy playing various sports (although I am not very good at them) and I initially wanted to dual CCA with Softball but the workload was too much :((. Joining Council was definitely one of the best decisions I have made as it has provided me boundless opportunities to grow and expand my comfort zone. It is such a blessing to be part of the Presidents Committee where we cheer each other on and comfort each other in times of stress. Although we can be (very) crackhead at times, we still are a tight-knit family of three which I am very thankful for. To end off I would like to share my life motto that helped me through my arduous journey in JC: "If you are going through hell, keep going" Jiayous to everybody going through the hardest 2 years of your life!!
